A very belated Happy New Year to everyone. Time flies, doesn't it? We are in the third week of 2010 and Ryan is nearly three years old.
Let's see, what's new with Ryan for the new year...
Toilet training... this must have been one of the most difficult thing to do. The first time we started was just before he turned two. That was a bit of a disaster. We stopped for a bit and was in a bit of a dilemma. It was near the end of last year that I decided it was time to really get serious with it. It was hard work but we persisted with it. I wouldn't say he's fully trained now but he's pretty good. He does his number 2s in the toilet but he is very lazy when it comes to number 1. He will try to hold on to it for as long as he can and that is how we get accidents. Although, most of the time he will wet himself just a little bit. We haven't started any night training yet. Will wait till he's fully trained during the day.
Daycare... they have moved him to the pre-school class. He's not meant to go there till he's 3.5 years old but we were not happy with them and were going to put him somewhere else. Well, that's when they said to try him in the next class. We agreed and he started when he went back this year. I think he is enjoying himself there. Although, he says no when we ask him. We think the teachers in that class are very good. It's Summer now and depending on the weather, they will take a walk with them down to the park which he really enjoys. They said that he has a very high vocabulary and I have to agree with them. Sometimes I don't know where he learns some of the things that comes out of his mouth. They can be very big words for a little boy like him. They also said that he always has a reason for everything he does. For example, he will say he wants to drink water coz he's sweaty.
That's all the update I have for now. My next entry will probably be on his birthday. Cheers everyone.
