As usual, he was spoilt rotten by everyone. As his birthday fell on a weekday, we had to leave him at daycare. It wasn't all bad though as they had a party for him. I think it went quite well as he had fun. He is really into Ben 10 (for those who do not know, this is a cartoon on tv) nowadays so I got him a Ben 10 cake to share with his friends.
We celebrated his birthday on the Saturday that has just past. Instead of having a party, we decided to just take him to the park. We were going to have a picnic there but it got flagged as a few of us were being bitten by sand flies and Ryan started to throw a tanty. We ended going to my parents' place for food and if you are wondering, yes we did get him another cake :)
On a different subject, Ryan went to his first wedding a couple of weeks ago. It was his aunty's wedding and he refused to put on a nice shirt as he said he is uncomfortable in it and ended up wearing a Ben 10 t-shirt. I think he really enjoyed himself that day. It was an outdoor wedding and he was running and rolling around all over the grass. He's not one that plays with other kids but he was playing with another little girl that day. At one stage, he even said she is his girlfriend. He moves fast, doesn't he? He was so tired at the end of the night that he fell asleep in less than 2 minutes in the car.
